Coming soon for macOSFocus sessions,
honestly counted.
A focus timer that lives in your menu bar and keeps a record you can actually trust.
What it does
A timer built around one idea: a focus session either finishes, or it doesn't count. Everything else follows from that.
Lives in your menu bar
A countdown ring sits up top all day. Click it for the full timer — start, pause, skip, done.
Counting you can trust
Finished sessions earn credit. Interrupted ones are recorded honestly instead of quietly padding your streak.
Strict mode
Arm the padlock and pause and skip disappear for the session. Commitment, when you want it.
Distraction prevention
Chosen apps hide themselves and distracting sites step aside while you focus — and come back when you're done.
Stats & history
Streaks, daily goals, trends, and a full session ledger you can filter, label, and export.
Your data stays yours
Everything lives on your Mac, backs itself up automatically, and exports to CSV or JSON whenever you like.

Questions
When will it be available?
It's in active development and not released yet. There's no announced date — this page will be updated as things firm up.
What will it cost?
Pricing hasn't been finalized. The plan is a free trial so you can see whether it fits how you work before paying anything.
Will there be an iPhone or iPad version?
The Mac comes first. iPhone, iPad, and Watch versions are planned, but they're not committed to a date yet.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, no analytics, and no data collection. Your sessions stay on your Mac. Optional iCloud syncing uses your own iCloud account and is off unless you turn it on.
Is this a Pomodoro app?
It works the way the classic 25/5 technique does, and it ships with longer schemes for deeper work — plus your own custom ones. "Pomodoro" is a registered trademark of Francesco Cirillo; FocusTimer isn't affiliated with or endorsed by its owner.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac running macOS 26 or later.
FocusTimer is still in development. Everything described on this page — features, naming, pricing, and availability — is subject to change before release, and some things may not ship at all. The screens above are representative of the interface in development and use sample data, not anyone's real sessions.
